UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
We’d like to introduce ourselves as the new owners of the swim school. My name is Lucas Shapland and I will be overseeing the teaching/learning side of things and my wife Marie will be taking care of the administration. We have two young boys ourselves: Bernie (8) and Murphy (7)
For those interested in my background, I'm a 4th generation swimming teacher, my father Chris Shapland, Grandfather Bernie Shapland and great Great-grandfather Thomas Shapland were all swim teachers. I grew up with both my parents being swimming teachers when they operated the first Shapland swim school in Redcliffe, which was built and operated by my Grandparents prior and is still in operation right now. I have been teaching for over 20 years now and I have a lot of knowledge across the board when it comes to swimming on all levels from babies to advanced students.
Marie and I have been running the Shapland swim school Moorooka since 2012 and it is a very exciting time for our family to be taking on the school here at Ipswich. We are both very nervous but also very optimistic in continuing a family legacy for our children

Cost & Enrolment Info
A family deposit of $41.00 is payable upon signing up. The deposit is credited to your account and when you notify us you intend to finish lessons this deposit is then used for your last 4 swim lessons (1 child).
SWIM LESSONS: $20.50 per lesson per child, second child rate is at $19.50 and $17.50 for third child thereafter.
Fees are paid on a monthly basis.
You will receive a copy of our TERMS AND CONDITIONS by email. No form required, agreement is made when you follow through with enrolment.

Maximum 3 children per class - 20 minute lessons (only 2 classes in the pool at the one time)
Fully enclosed heated mineral pool.
Change rooms heated in the cooler months.
